One of the most anticipated features at the ONE events is the “working solutions pavilion,” which highlights various technologies such as backup and disaster recovery (BDR), cloud services, data collection, mobile computing, networking, point of sale, security, wireless, point of sale) in a real world setting.
In the past, solutions pavilions have showcased technologies in hospital and school environments. This year, the theme will be hospitality, an industry that has grown $100 billion between 2010 and 2016. In 2016 alone, at least 865 hotels with 103,230 rooms are under construction and 54% of hotels will spend money on technology this year.
The Ingram Micro ONE Hospitality Solutions Pavilion, aka “Hotel ONE,” will comprise a 10,000 square-foot interactive experience showcasing 50+ technology solutions throughout six rooms, including: a hotel lobby, back office, guest room, conference room, business center and restaurant. Partners who sign up for a tour of Hotel ONE will be guided by technology experts who will highlight how various hardware and software components work together to create comprehensive business solutions.
Partner feedback from the 2015 Ingram Micro ONE working solutions pavilions was overwhelmingly positive with 100% of survey respondents indicating they found the experience to be valuable. Nearly 88% of respondents said they received guidance on next steps available through Ingram Micro, which helped shorten their sales cycles, too.
“At the Hotel ONE Solutions Pavilion, we will showcase multivendor solutions across a wide array of technologies, giving partners an opportunity to think more holistically about selling solutions and expanding their current offerings,” says Jay Giron, senior vendor program manager, licensing and technical enablement, Ingram Micro. “For example, a partner who sells networking services can see how security is a perfect add-on technology. Each partner will receive expert guidance from a number of Ingram Micro technical associates who will be on hand.”
Attendees interested in seeing the Hotel ONE Solutions Pavilion must sign up ahead of time. Space is limited and guided tours are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. “We are scheduling 19 tours with 20 partners for each tour,” says Giron. “The technology experts providing the guided tours play a key role in the experience as well. In addition to hearing firsthand from the technical associates who built the solutions, other technical support, technology consultants and technical account managers will be available to discuss hospitality business solutions and answer partners’ questions. Plus, members of our Professional & Training Services team will be available to consult with partners and help them develop a plan to add new offerings to their line cards, including training and certification requirements that may need as well as any additional support.”
