Develop your cybersecurity competency with CVL series training from the ECTA
Ingram Micro partners interested in growing their Cisco sales and technical expertise can also take advantage of Cisco Virtual Learning (CVL) series training, a free training and enablement program offered through the ECTA, where partners participate in five 1-hour Cisco 101 training sessions covering a variety of Cisco technologies. The dates and times are flexible. You can have as many, or few, representatives from your team involved in the training as you’d like. If desired, your company can dive deeper into any of the topics with Ingram Micro’s Cisco certified engineers. At the end of the training program, partners will have a better knowledge of Cisco solutions and how to position them to their customers. The training is delivered remotely, via WebEx or video, by Experience Center engineer, Tom Mann.
One of the most popular, more advanced CVL series trainings is Cisco Fire Jumper Stage 2. The Fire Jumper program is designed to empower sales reps, SEs and AMs to lead customer opportunities within four competency areas: network security; visibility and enforcement; advanced threat; and cloud, web and email security. Fire Jumper Stage 2 training is a 5-hour instructor-led session where participants learn the fundamentals of Cisco’s next-generation firewall (NGFW) and next-generation intrusion prevention systems (NGIPS). The course prepares SEs for customer engagements on Cisco Security solutions and provides knowledge around how to position, demo, design and give proof-of-value assessments for Cisco NGFW and NGIPS solutions. Participants must take and pass an online competency exam after completing the session before qualifying for more advanced training (e.g., Stage 3 or Stage 4).
Partners interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to attend the following Fire Jumper training sessions:
- Cisco Fire Jumper Account Manager (New Content Edition) Wednesday, March 21, at 1 p.m. ET. This 1-hour, online course will aid account managers in messaging, positioning, demos, strategy, vision and ordering overviews by product franchise area.
- Cisco Fire Jumper Training Through the Ingram Micro Experience Center. Thursday, March 22, at 1 p.m. ET. This is a 4-hour online course designed to prepare systems engineers for customer engagements on Cisco Security solutions.
Not able to make these dates and times? Need additional/different Cisco training? Ingram Micro’s engineers are available to provide customized training and support in person or remotely via WebEx or video to ensure each partner’s team is knowledgeable and comfortable with Cisco technology.
