Ep. 1: How Microsoft is addressing education’s top challenges

November 07, 2022

Even with most students back in the classroom, hybrid learning is here to stay and educators must address this fact, along with accessibility, security and low-cost device challenges. In this video, Microsoft Commercial Master Trainers, Mitch Doctor and Anthony Hartsell, discuss ways Microsoft is helping educators address these needs head-on. One example is that Windows 11 has 6 times more accessibility features than Windows 10, including closed-captioning that’s built in—not bolted on.
Microsoft also offers Windows 11 SE, a cloud-first edition of Windows 11, designed to meet the needs of K–8 education. The OS is optimized to deliver great education experiences on low-cost devices (i.e., under $300), removing distractions so students stay focused.
Microsoft’s Shape the Future program is another offering for educators, providing discounts for Windows 11 education devices. Schools can purchase discounted devices from brands like Lenovo, Dell, HP and Acer in a wide variety of form factors.
