Why Express Network Specialization is a must-have for selling Meraki

Why Express Network Specialization is a must-have for selling Meraki

One of Cisco Meraki’s fortes is its ability to simplify networking. Built on a cloud-enabled platform, Cisco Meraki provides switching, routing and security, so partners can deliver highly secure and scalable enterprise networks that enable faster connections and more coverage. It helps devices automatically connect to the Cisco Meraki cloud over SSL (secure socket layer), so partners can register with their customers’ networks and download their configurations. Meraki gives users complete visibility and control over their entire network via the web, and it enables partners to configure devices, run diagnostics and view reports with just a few clicks.

Cisco Meraki and Express Network Specialization go hand in hand

The perfect complement to selling Cisco Meraki is attaining Express Network Specialist status, which opens several opportunities for partners. With this specialization, partners can:

  • Receive exclusive, in-depth training on the Meraki cloud architecture and product families
  • Qualify for Cisco Select Certification and incentive programs
  • Complete the required preparations and exam in less than 15 hours
  • Be recognized as a specialized partner in the Cisco Partner Locator

To obtain the specialization, two individuals from a partner’s organization must pass the associated online exam (700-901), which is targeted at technical sales functions and assumes an understanding of networking fundamentals. There aren’t, however, any additional certification requirements (e.g., CCNA) for taking the exam, and the training is well within reach of many technical sellers in a partner organization.

Ingram Micro offers Meraki 360 Kickstart, a hands-on instructor-led online training to help partners prepare for the exam at no cost. Meraki 360 is a half-day training program designed to get Meraki partner sales engineers (SEs) up to speed on Cisco Meraki. SEs learn how to configure and sell the full end-to-end solution, including security, switching, wireless and mobile device management (MDM).

Learn from Ingram Micro’s Meraki-certified instructors in a hands-on lab format, while you configure and test real devices. To get more information and sign up for our next Meraki 360 Kickstart training, click here.

Additionally, after completing Cisco’s Enterprise Networking exam (within three months of taking the Meraki360 labs), Ingram Micro partners qualify for a free Meraki MR33 802.11ac Access Point and 3-year Cloud Management License. Contact thomas.pilarz@ingrammicro.com for more details or assistance.
