Cisco BE 4000: A fast on-premise deployment now with a path to Cisco Spark later
Cisco BE 4000 is a dedicated voice appliance for small businesses, providing IP telephony and voicemail services for up to 200 devices. The appliance offers support for a broad range of the latest Cisco 7800 and 8800 Series IP phones, plus it supports Cisco’s analog telephone adapter for fax machine and analog phone users.
The Cisco BE 4000 offers many of the comprehensive calling features enterprise VoIP systems provide, including:
- Hunt groups and auto-attendant for efficient call routing
- Call park, hold and transfer
- Voicemail messaging
- Audio conferencing, paging and intercom support
- Single number reach
One feature that separates Cisco BE 4000 from other on-premise UCC offerings is that it’s cloud managed, which enables the system to be easily preconfigured prior to shipment and rapidly deployed in less than a day. Plus, it comes with easy-to-use tools for everyday moves, adds and changes (MACs) and deletions, and it supports auto-provisioning, user self-service portals, status monitoring and management reporting.
Despite its rich feature set, Cisco BE 4000 is priced up to 40% lower than other packaged UC solutions, making it a prime option for channel partners to address the $800 million-plus worldwide UC market opportunity for small businesses.
Give customers investment protection and flexibility
Ingram Micro’s Cisco partners also can encourage their Cisco BE 4000 customers to try Cisco Spark messaging for free, giving clients a taste of the power of Cisco Spark and opening their eyes to the potential benefits of a broader cloud or hybrid solution for their businesses down the road.
Not every customer is ready to migrate to the cloud right away. With the Cisco Spark Flex Plan (previously referred to as Cisco Collaboration Subscription), customers can invest with confidence and plan for technology migrations ahead of time. The subscription plan includes flexible, term-based licensing and hardware investment protection that make it easier to migrate to the cloud or a hybrid collaboration with Cisco Spark.
