Cisco Webex Calling and Collaboration Flex Plan make cloud transitions easier
Industry analysts predict that half of the U.S. workforce, primarily knowledge workers and executives, will be working remotely in 2020. With workers dispersed rather than reporting to a common office location, businesses and enterprises will be challenged to provide them with reliable communications tools that keep them connected with other members of their teams.
To make it easier for teams to connect and collaborate, Cisco recently announced a new enterprise-class, native cloud solution—Webex Calling—which combines the Cisco BroadCloud platform and Cisco Webex. The solution is available to Ingram Micro partners under the Cisco Collaboration Flex Plan.
Previously, only about 8% of midmarket and enterprise business leaders (companies with 100+ users) moved their unified communications systems to the cloud due to concerns about scalability, feature functionality, reliability and security. Webex Calling eliminates these former barriers and gives business leaders the freedom to replace aging PBX infrastructures with a superior cloud alternative. With cloud delivery from a series of geo-redundant data centers in seven countries, operated by experienced Tier 4 operators, Cisco is able to deliver a multitenant cloud service that’s more reliable, scalable and secure than on-premises options. And with a cloud service that’s always up to date, Cisco Webex Calling delivers a more intelligent user experience.
With Cisco Webex Calling, users can transition from their smartphones on the go to the devices they use in the office, home or meeting room with seamless device handovers and rich business calling features at every step. With Webex Teams included, Cisco is making it simple to keep organizations connected and productive from wherever work gets done.
Here’s what your customers get with Webex Calling:
  • An enterprise-class cloud PBX
  • Integration with Webex Teams for advanced collaboration
  • Optional Cisco multiplatform (MPP) IP phones, headsets and video devices
  • Option to add Webex Meetings
  • Simplified packaged pricing
  • Investment protection through Cisco Collaboration Flex Plan purchasing
  • Global availability expanding throughout 2019 to more than 35 countries and 7 languages
Migrate your customers to the cloud in phases
Your larger businesses will typically need more time to transition over to the cloud, and in highly regulated industries, like financial services, they may never move completely to the cloud. Another advantage of Webex Calling is the flexibility it offers for customers who need a hybrid cloud offering. Cisco customers can move any site or group of users to the cloud, while maintaining a common network dial plan and directory access for users across all cloud and on-premises PBX sites.
The Cisco Collaboration Flex Plan makes your customers’ transition even easier, giving users access to Cisco’s collaboration tools with one subscription-based offer. Partners can provide customers with meetings, calling or both and add more at any time. Plus, seamlessly drive enhanced collaboration with Cisco Webex Teams and add contact center capabilities, which are included at no additional charge in the Collaboration Flex Plan. One agreement covers software, entitlements and technical support for cloud-based and on-premises services.
