Remote workforces need a new platform, and Cisco has it
At this year’s Ingram Micro ONE Experience, Ingram Micro partners came together in a first-of-its-kind virtual event. Chuck Robbins, Cisco’s chairman and CEO, discussed how Cisco offers more to partners motivated to modernize, consult and deliver a superior customer experience.

Stacy Betts, senior director, Partner Sales Organization, Cisco, compared partners’ business challenges and strategies to tightrope walkers.

Andrew Sage, vice president, Global Distribution Sales at Cisco, followed with an inspiring message to partners, saying, “I see before us the opportunity of a lifetime. Together, we have exactly what our customers need: the right solutions, the right services, at exactly the right moment.”

Your customers’ employees are no longer in the office, he added. Their data and apps are moving to the cloud, and they need to secure everything. “They’re going to be counting on you to manage their solutions throughout their lifecycles,” he said.

The 2020 crisis created “a decade of change in the blink of an eye,” according to the Mercer Global COVID-19 Survey.

The transformation to digital requires a new platform, and Cisco created that platform for its partners to build on:

  • Secure Remote Worker—A SaaS bundle geared to the growing number of remote workforces. It includes Webex Meetings for secure collaboration, Duo for multifactor authentication, and Umbrella Cloud Security and Cloud Mailbox Defense, all for less than $30 per user per month (max 250 users).

  • Global Business Resiliency (GBR)—Cisco achieves resiliency through three principal areas of focus: business resiliency, incident management and IT disaster recovery (DR). The company helps partners proactively assess operational risks, establish contingency plans and administer incident response training, and assesses and mitigates potential business disruptions through the GBR program. Under this program, all corporate business units are required to maintain and exercise alternate operation strategies. The GBR program office validates that each business unit’s resiliency strategies are effective and meet the global policy requirements established by the program office. For critical business operations, Cisco audits business continuity plans and moderates annual exercises to ensure the plans efficiently mitigate realistic disruptions.
