In this episode of the Meraki Mondays show, Dan Stewart, Business Transformation Center (BTC) engineer, and Bobby Young, technology consultant, Ingram Micro, discuss the differences between how Cisco presents firmware release notes for enterprise products and its Meraki products.
“You must have full organizational access status on your Meraki dashboard to get access to Meraki firmware upgrades,” says Stewart. “Those with network-level access or read-only access statuses won’t be able to see this information.”
Within the “Organization” setting on the dashboard, partners can select one of the three options in the “Latest firmware versions” settings, including:
- Stable—The most thoroughly tested firmware version for a working environment can be found here.
- Stable release candidate—Firmware in this category is just transitioning out of the beta stage and getting ready to be released to the general audience. However, it may still have a few rough edges that need smoothing out.
- Beta—New features that partners want to try out in a lab setting can be downloaded in this firmware stage.
