COVID-19 threw the world into uncertainty. Many businesses were casualties of the pandemic, and those that were able to stay open saw themselves having to make major changes in the way they operated.
Ingram Micro’s Direct Express program has been able to give an added boost to those businesses that may have found themselves struggling to stay afloat during these turbulent times. Michelle Hoppock

The evolution of Ingram Micro Financial Solutions
It’s hard to find a business that wasn’t impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but throughout the entire past 16 months, Ingram Micro has been committed to helping its customers navigate these crazy times.
Some of the steps that were taken helped our partners tremendously, including things like increased credit lines to ensure that businesses had what they needed, extended payment terms, deferred payments and adaptive financial solutions tailored for each unique partner.
With each partner, Ingram Micro was able to take a step back and really try to understand two things.
First, where is this customer on their journey? Once that’s clear, Ingram Micro can recommend the best financial solution.
Second, is this partner looking for short-term or long-term solutions? Most likely it’s a mix of the two, allowing Ingram Micro to deliver on the technology and financing offerings they need to be successful.
Direct Express + Direct Express Complete
Over the years, Ingram Micro has had good financing solutions for our customers. We had programs that would help a seller facilitate an opportunity that was outside of their credit capacity. We even had a full back-office solution where a seller could outsource their entire billing, collections and invoicing process to us.
They were good programs. But they weren’t great programs.
After listening and surveying customers, Direct Express was born. Direct Express is a program that provides additional credit capacity outside of a customer’s established credit, leveraging the strength of the end user, giving them flexibility and confidence.
Whether a customer needs Direct Express, where they handle the invoicing and collections, assuming the risk, or Direct Express Complete, a more end-to-end financial solution, Ingram Micro is there to help.
With as much or as little help as a customer needs, Direct Express is there to help take their business to the next level, without interrupting their normal sales interactions. A supplemental line of credit, in addition to their standard Ingram Micro credit line, could make all the difference in the world.
