How Ingram Micro and Dell work together to take care of their customers
In 2019 Dell had to overcome intel processor shortages, and then in 2020 they had to adapt to the COVID pandemic. Despite the challenges, Ingram Micro and Dell strove to impact their overall customer experience by partnering together to implement an imbedded resource to have more intentional conversations with customers.
Despite the pandemic, SMB partners grew 20% last year in Dell CSG within Ingram Micro, which shows the efforts Dell and Ingram Micro had with partners really allowed SMBs to come out on top.
Ingram Micro helped partners grow even during the pandemic by not only providing alternatives for stock, but also having conversations with partners to confirm the end user’s need, what to expect from partnering, what products are in stock that can ship quickly, etc.
How Ingram Micro and Dell help customers with financing
Ingram Micro and Dell are proud of our efforts to find every opportunity to help partners be competitive in the space and win deals. Last year Dell offered a new program called Competitive Funds, and the offer continues until the end of April 2021. This discount allows partners to mix and match in-stock Dell items through Ingram Micro. Dell also offers a substantial volume discount.
Ingram Micro has an amazing financial solutions team, which takes into consideration COVID and cashflow constraints end customers might have to make sure the customer has the financing solution that works best for them.
How Dell’s value program benefits SMBs
The Dell Technologies Partner Program metal tiers each have their own revenue and training requirements. Ingram Micro partners with Dell to progress Dell’s “Authorized” partners to “Gold” status, and then helps them eventually grow to “Platinum.”
Where tech is going in the next year
The pandemic showed that customers and employees can work from home. Specifically, it showed businesses that their people can be productive and efficient out of the office. Work from home will be a continued focus for Ingram Micro and Dell as they continue to discover creative ways to support mobility.
